Here is an awesome cover of Swedish House Mafia's 'Save the World' sung on the Danish X-Factor!

Film: The Dictator at the Oscars

I hope everyone watched the oscars last night and I hope you all saw Sacha Baron Cohen pull this little stunt off on the red carpet!

Music: Hardwell in Boston

So this morning I have to wake up the hungover, blurry-eyed Max from his deep slumber. On the way down to a spot of morning rowing he recollects his memories from last night. He tells me he went to Splash (one of Boston's nicer clubs) after dinner with friends.

"The music was great" he recalls.

No shit Sherlock. Hardwell (#24 DJ in the world according to DJmag) was in Boston last night and playing at Splash. In his inebriated state he couldn't work out why it was so expensive to get in... and why the music was so damn good! Anyway, here is "Zero 76" - Enjoy it as much as Max did last night when he was dancing on the table in Splash!

Music: Bon Iver at AIR Studios (4AD/Jagjaguwar Session)

Such great music. Just what you need to watch on a Monday morning. It has put me in such a good mood in the last 20 minutes. You don't need to watch the whole video, but I suggest you watch a little to really get a sense of the organic nature it was created. Then put it on in the back ground while you sort out your schedule for the day/ tidy your room (or whatever else you do on Monday morning) and you will walk around with a smile on your face for the rest of the day.

Thanks to Jamie L-S for this find.

If you're looking for more of a spring in your step for the day check out the video below of Parov Stelar's Catgroove below. It's been playing in my room all week.

Music: Drive

One of the many reasons for which I enjoyed Drive so much was because of its soundtrack. It has a chill neo-80s feel to it. Perfect on Sunday after a hard week of raging.

Great little video too.

Timelapse.

There are a lot of these floating around the internet, but this is probably the most chill one I've seen. Great just before the weekend...the calm before the storm.

Film: Brian Taylor to Write/Direct 'Twisted Metal'

Just saw this article and was pretty shocked. Brian Taylor, co-directed Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is being paid a heck of a lot of dough to write/direct a film. Is it just me or is the CO-director of a mediocre sequel film (to a terrible first film, Ghost Rider, with only 5.2/10 on IMDB) being offered a 7-figure deal to write and direct Twisted Metal. Maybe the Ghost Rider films are just not my cup of tea (because dare I say it I do actually like Nicholas Cage a lot!) but I do not understand how he is being offered so much money to split from Mark Neveldine for the first time(which he has co-directed all his films with - such as Jason Statham's Crank) and adapt a video game into a film. Congrats to the guy though, he's clearly moving up in the world. Not sure whether I'm going to congratulate the guys at Sony that are paying him to make another 5/10 rated film.

The Bourne Legacy

Looks like there's a new Bourne movie coming out soon...without Matt Damon. I'd be a little skeptical if it wasn't for the fact that Jeremy Renner is the new main star. He's the badass from the Hurt Locker if you didn't know.

Music: Upular

A sweet little song, with music video, made entirely from chords, bass notes and vocal samples from Disney's film Up.

Sent to me by the one and only Jack Carr. It should put you in a splendid mood for the weekend (regardless of whether you are a Disney-lover or not)!

Music Video: Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni***s in Paris

WOW. Whoever did the effects on this video really had their sh*t together. This video came out today and is sensational. It starts with the warning message: "This video has been identified by epilepsy action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised." Anything that starts with a message like that is going to either be super crappy or bloody awesome. And this is the latter. There is a lot of mirror effects used (just like that in Photobooth) which switches back to normal without even a glimmer of disruption in the continuity. One day the eager bloggers of Jopfared will be able to edit like this. Trust.

Rap is really not my thing but these two... hats off to them... they are two incredibly talented guys.

Turn it onto 720p and crank the volume. It's worth it.

And seriously, if you do have epilepsy, don't watch it!

And here's a cheeky remix for y'all.

Trailer: Agent Provocateur

It is Valentine's Day in a few days so I thought I'd post this. There are a couple really good POV (point-of-view) shots... *cough*... and I really like the music... *cough* *cough*

Happy Valentine's Day!

Music: M.I.A - Bad Girls

I'm also sitting here...bored whilst I wait for some video to render in the animation studio and stumbled across this video from the same artist who gave us Paper Planes. The song's not bad, but the video is pretty sensationally entertaining. Give it a watch. Plus who doesn't love them bad girls?

Art: Banksy Elephant

Browsing the news at 4AM (as one does) and came across this interesting article. Back in March, it seems British graffiti artist, Banksy, trod his foot in something unintentionally. Have a skim of the article. It is interesting. Good Night!

Music: Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know

Very powerful song, with an even better animation to back it up. I don't really know why we haven't posted this one yet.

Film Review: The Grey

Awful. I really want my $10 back please! The trailer would lead you to believe that The Grey is another Liam Neeson action flick ala Taken or Unknown. Albeit this premise sets us up for a mediocre movie anyway, like Mission Impossible, this would have been the 'McDonalds type' blockbuster that I was craving. I wanted to see a bad ass Liam Neeson hunting down, and killing wolves with his bare hands (and the minibar vodka bottles seen in the trailer). What you get is a journey to no where as Neeson and friends try to survive.

The cinematography, is admittedly the saving grace of the movie. There are some wonderful sweeping views and amazingly vivid POV shots. If you're into gore there's plenty of that too. The dialogue is generally fine and there are even a few funny Liam Neeson quotes in this movie. 'If you don't shut up I'll be beating you to a pulp in 5 minutes' and 'Fuck that' come to mind.

SLIGHT SPOILER - Obviously you'll be curious to see the fight scene eluded to in the trailer. I was too, unfortunately the movie cuts to credits just as said fight is about to break out. Unexpected false advertising from a producer as well known as Ridley Scott!

Overall not a great film. Maybe you won't feel so cheated if you've not seen the trailer,. 4/10

Music: Coldplay - Charlie Brown

The video to Coldplay's latest single released today. What do you think? I like the song (like, not love) and think that party looks like it would be a lot of fun. A lot of blue, pink and green in the colour correcting... Overall I think its pretty cool, not something I'd ask my friends if they'd seen though.

Music: Telepopmusik

The weekend's about to arrive but we all still have that last, pesky bit of work to do before we can rage on Friday night.
Introducing an oldie - Breathe by Telepopmusik. Put this puppy on and you'll be relaxed in no time. Enjoy!
